The Science Behind Santa
“This of course doesn’t take into account the fact that it is totally possible that Santa distributes the gifts in advance and they are just invisible or phased out of our dimension until Christmas time at which point they become visible or phase in to our dimension.”

Zooming In On The Centre Of The Milky Way
We start with a view of the Milky Way. We zoom in towards the crowded central region, in the constellation of Sagittarius. By shifting to an infrared red view we see through the dusty clouds in this direction and get a close up view of the objects orbiting the supermassive black hole that lies at the centre of the Milky Way.
The final views show the motion of a newly-discovered gas cloud that is falling rapidly towards the central black hole.

The Defense
It was Christmas and the judge was in a merry mood as he asked the defendant, "What are you being charged with?"
"Doing my Christmas shopping early sir," replied the defendant.
"Well, that's not a crime," said the judge. "How early were you doing this shopping?"
"Before the store opened," answered the prisoner.

Why lead used to be added to gasoline
Today I found out why lead used to be added to gasoline.
“Tetraethyl lead” was used in early model cars to help reduce engine knocking, boost octane ratings, and help with wear and tear on valve seats within the motor. Due to concerns over air pollution and health risks, this type of gas was slowly phased out starting in the late 1970′s and banned altogether in all on-road vehicles in the U.S. in 1995.

The future for kids
In 20-30 years, one of the hardest things our kids will have to do will be finding a screen name that hasn't already been taken.
I suppose our given names were already taken and re-used

TGIF
A business man got on an elevator in a building.
When he entered the elevator,
there was a blonde already inside and she greeted him by saying,
“T-G-I-F” (letters only).
He smiled at her and replied,
“S-H-I-T” (letters only).”
She looked at him, puzzled, and said,
“T-G-I-F” again.
He acknowledged her remark again by answering,
“S-H-I-T.”
The blond was trying to be friendly,
so she smiled her biggest smile and said as sweetly as possibly
“T-G-I-F” another time.
The man smiled back to her and once again replied with a quizzical expression,
“S-H-I-T.”
The blond finally decided to explain things, and this time she said,
“T-G-I-F, Thank Goodness It’s Friday, get it?”
The man answered,
“Sorry, Honey, It’s Thursday.”

Beautiful Snapshots Of Animals Reflected In Water
Reflection photography is not as easy as some might imagine. It takes creativity and skill to both see the possibilities and then end up with a fantastic photograph - particularly if your subject is something that's not likely to keep still and behave.
Then again, sometimes animals seem perfectly content to sit quietly in front of their reflections in water; in fact, if these images are anything to go by, they're as vain as the rest of us! They may not be looking into actual mirrors, but many have been caught apparently looking at their own mirror images.
